Panasonic continues to renew its catalog of sound equipment for the 2020 season and this time the manufacturer has announced the launch of two new True Wireless headphones. This is the Panasonic RZ-S300W and RZ-S500W headphones.
Two models of wireless Bluetooth headphones, which hit the market in late June and share some specifications and a similar design, seeking to compete in the upper mid-range of the segment.
Panasonic RZ-S300W
Starting with the Panasonic RZ-S300W, we are facing the more modest model of the two presented. Available in black, white and mint green, they have a diameter of only 17 millimeters and a weight of 4 grams for each handset.
This model incorporates a touch surface that allows us to easily control the main functions of these headphones, either volume control or scroll through the tracks that sound.
This model, like its older brother, integrates high-performance MEMS microphones built in a unique labyrinth cabinet structure to eliminate sounds coming from outside, such as wind, and by the way, reduce unpleasant noise and improve the quality of calls.
The battery that integrates this model allows up to almost 7 hours of use, a time that if we use the charging case can reach 22 hours.
Panasonic RZ-S500W
In the case of the Panasonic RZ-S500W, they are available in white or black and provide the Dual Hybrid Noise Canceling function with respect to the previous ones to cancel the interior and exterior noise of the hearing aid and thus avoid annoying sounds.
Noise cancellation is also improved with the incorporation of the MEMS microphones that we saw in the previous model and in this model, in addition, beamforming technology is used to capture voice while suppressing ambient noise. It shares with the previous model, the possibility of using the ambient sound mode, which can be activated from the touch sensor and allows listening to the external sound while listening to the content.
The new Panasonic True Wireless are compatible with the main voice assistants on the market, such as Siri, Google Assistant or Alexa. They are also IPX4 certified, so they offer splash-proof performance, features extensible to the RZ-S300W as well.
As for autonomy, with a single charge and with active noise cancellation they allow about six hours of continuous use, which reach up to almost 20 hours if we use the charging case.
Price and availability
The Panasonic RZ-S300W are priced at 119.00 euros and arrive in white, black and mint green colors, while the Panasonic RZ-S500W debut at 179.00 euros in black or white.
