KARL LAGERFELD is, without a doubt, one of the fashion brands of the moment. Following the success of her current CARA LOVES KARL collection designed in collaboration with actress, model and muse Cara Delevingne or advertisements about biopic Inspired by the life of the iconic designer played by Jared Letothe Parisian brand has just revealed new details about KARL LAGERFELD Villas Marbellathe name of the project with which the brand intends to bring to reality one of the dreams and passions of the world-renowned “Kaiser” of fashion.
Is about five exclusive villasarchitecturally different from each other, sharing a location in the more than 9000 square meters of one of the most coveted plots of the entire Costa del Sol, popularly known as the “Marbella Golden Mile”.
Nestled between the sea and the mountains, the environment where these houses are built acts as a “lung” allowing the creation an oasis where light and temperature are friendly throughout the year. Landscape architects working on the project have envisioned “islands of greenery” that mix colors and scents inspired by the gardens that Karl Lagerfeld loved and revisited on his travels around the world.
The sustainability and zero impact on the environment They will be, without a doubt, two of the fundamental values that define this project from its foundations. The villas will be built with mixed structures of wood and innovative materials like the reflective synthetic ceramic, finished with white gold powder and chosen to wrap each house to create a polished, semi-reflective effect. Is about biodegradable, recyclable materials and with a radically lower impact on the carbon footprint than those traditionally used.
In addition, the solar panels will optimize total energy consumption, while home automation systems will manage and control additional energy consumption. Geothermal features and a rainwater recovery tank They will promote the circular needs that will be implemented in the water mirrors, swimming pools, green roofs and an irrigation system for the entire plot.
As Karl Lagerfeld’s career became increasingly multidisciplinary, the artist was involved in various interior design and architecture projects, two subjects that deeply fascinated him. His resulting work can be found in places like Paris, Miami, Berlin, Taiwan, Monte-Carlo, Singapore and Toronto, among others. His latest projects include the lavish renovation of Les Grands Apartments at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris and the KARL LAGERFELD Hotel in Macau.
KARL LAGERFELD Villas Marbella is the first luxury residential project inspired by the creative testament of one of the most celebrated designers of the 20th century. With surfaces ranging between 1,045 square meters and 1,305 square meters, the houses will have four levels: three floors and a basement, a swimming pool, a private garden, a spaa movie theater and spacious rooms.
The living spaces on the ground floor will adopt the transparency and remove visual boundaries of the gardens and nature, opening up to the infinite landscape. Between the spaces, geometric shape ladder, inspired by some patterns and designs created by Karl Lagerfeld, will shine with brushed steel panels, acting as the central core of the villa. The dualism between black and whitepresent in the terrazzo marble floor and aesthetic details in bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens will be another distinctive sign that demonstrates how Karl Largerfeld’s aesthetic taste will be present in every corner of each villa.
The lounge area will have a personalized bookcase -designed as a tribute to Karl’s love of books- made with recycled wood panels. The steel furniture and accessories will be welded and built in one piece, which will further enhance the abstract nature of objects present in each village. What do you think of the project?
