This impressive 250 m2 apartment occupies the ground floor of a building from the 80s, located in one of the most elegant residential areas of Milan. Your location gives you direct access to a quiet garden of 600 meters square and has been recently renovated by the Italian architecture firm Dainelli Studio.
The space has been transformed by the studio to meet the needs of its owners, a couple and their children who now enjoy four bedrooms, a spacious entrance hall, corridors very well used because they are they have “filling” of large built-in wardrobes and one Big room connected to the dining room and all of it, in a classical-contemporary key.
The style mixes the most aristocratic classicismor like the haussmannian details, the large wooden panels, mirrors and Versailles oak parquet (framing quadrants), with very contemporary elementssuch as resin kitchen flooring, tropical wallpaper, and architectural lighting.
The choice of furniture and objects confirms this duality and thus, elegant personalized elements with design icons, family heirlooms and furniture designed by Dainelli Studio are mixed in the different rooms.
The entrance, the best letter of presentation of the apartment
The entrance is a great letter of introduction to the apartment. When you enter the house, you are greeted by a large bespoke library, study design and the brass partition -a material that is repeated in several elements- and that serves as a separator between the entrance and the living area.
Highlights Vitra’s black leather armchair and two custom lamps with integrated brass fixtures.
The living room
In the living room it counts, the large Flexform fabric sofa, rests partly on the wall of the entrance. This is accompanied by a walnut coffee table and several Flos floor lamps.
Two aged mirrored sliding doors give way to the living room or television.
Separated by about few steps with elegant brass details, but easily accessible from the living room, the dining room opens to the large custom designed dining table with a black stained ash base and marble top.
The chairs, the bar cabinet and the glass and metal lamp (in the cover image) are from the Italian firm Gallotti & Radice.
The bedrooms
In the bedrooms, the mix of classic details and contemporary options.
In the main bedroom it is the most classic with bronze and marble bedside tables and the bed with a padded headboard that interact with the custom-designed furniture in black-stained ash and the Gallotti & Radice console.
In one of the youth bedrooms in a contemporary key they have dared with a striking jungle motif wallpaper by Taplab.
The kitchen and bathrooms
In wet rooms they have leaned more towards the current style.
The kitchen, by Poliform, has minimalist lines with white cabinets without handles and a dark countertop in which a peninsula stands out, zoning and articulating the space.
The peninsula with the well-known Kartell Masters stool.
A detail of the bathroom that stands out for its austere minimalism, in clear contrast to other rooms in the house.
Overlooking the garden
From the living room and several bedrooms access to the garden which is like an oasis of peace in the heart of the city. It stands out for its abundant vegetation and only has the furniture that is essential to enjoy it. Its furniture is from Kettal and the outdoor dining table from Cattelan Italia.
