The Opel Combo Life, Vivaro Combi and Zafira Life vans will no longer be available with gasoline and diesel engines and will be offered exclusively with 100% electric mechanics. The German brand continues with its transition process towards electric mobility.
Opel has started the year 2022 by introducing a whole series of very important changes that affect the mechanical offer of its passenger vans. The models Combo Life, Vivaro Combi and Zafira Life are no longer available with heat engines. An adjustment whose main consequence is that these vehicles become available exclusively with electrical mechanics.
We are not facing a decision that exclusively affects the popular German brand. Stellantis has decided to retire the Thermal Rifter, Combo Life and Berlingo. A commitment to fully electric mobility that also extends to the ‘big brothers’ of all these models. Opel includes this change in its range as a fundamental part to achieve its objective of offering a line of exclusively electric passenger cars from the year 2028.
Opel Combo Life, Vivaro Combi and Zafira Life, only in electric version
From this month of January 2022 the Combo Life, Vivaro Combi and Zafira Life can only be ordered with electrical mechanics. Private customers who are interested in registering these vans as tourism will no longer have the possibility of opting for an internal combustion engine (gasoline or diesel) and, therefore, Opel gives all the prominence to its battery-electric variants.
