Naughty Dog is constantly working on new video games. Also in adding content to games that have recently released. Nevertheless, we don’t know exactly what they are currently working on. It is already known that remasters of Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy are being made, or that it is being made a multiplayer mode for The Last of Us: Part II, but not many details are known about it. In fact, speculation has recently grown as a result of a movement animator who has shared a curious photo.
The image in question, shared by Marianne Hayden on her Twitter profile, shows herself with two companions in the middle of a motion capture stage. We can see that the two of the members of the photograph are dressed in the MoCap outfit, but there is also a The Last of Us Part II promotional t-shirt, being able to subliminally suggest that, indeed, it is the field work for the development of the multiplayer of this video game.
Always nice to be back on the stage! #mocap @Mark_Musashi @Naughty_Dog pic.twitter.com/OEmgow5NtO

However, some users perform a different interpretation. That Hayden put in his tweet “it’s always good to go back to the set” is understood by other people like the start of a new job. As it could not be less, this speculation suggests that it may be the first motion captures of The Last of Us 3, a title that presumably has a few years of development left. Nor do they rule out that it may be a new Uncharted, franchise that takes longer than The Last of Us without releasing a new title.
There are many unknowns around this image. It is well known that, if they are in full motion capture, the multiplayer of The Last of Us: Part II still has time for it to reach the hands of players, but if it is a sequel to the aforementioned, no Naughty Dog has no doubt great short and medium term plans. Anyway, we do not know more specific details, so we will have to wait for official information to know where we are aiming our hype.
