Finally! It has been months of waiting, but after the rumors of a few weeks ago and the images of just a couple of days ago, it was clear that it was a matter of time to see the first trailer of Matrix 4 in high quality. The new installment is called Matrix Resurrections and the trailer is loaded with nostalgia and references to the first part.
When The Matrix arrived in 1999, the Wachowskis revolutionized entertainment. They created a deep film with a clear philosophical message that was also action-packed in the purest style of John Woo’s Japanese films and was technically impressive.
In addition to the two direct sequels, the animated film and the video games, The Matrix conquered millions of people both for its message and for its aesthetics and, in addition, it has become popular culture with that mythical phrase of “failure in the Matrix” when fail … well anything. In fact, it was recently used by Elon Musk himself.
But back to the important thing, the Wachowski sisters announced a few months ago that they were preparing the return of The Matrix with Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves and, after the teaser a few days ago, we finally have the complete trailer with good quality.
We leave it below:
As we could expect, we have a lot of nods to the original trilogy, especially to the first film and although there is a lot of desire to see what Neo and Trinity do there 20 years later, we would also like to know why it seems that they have caught it directly from John Wick.
Joking apart, Matrix Revolutions will arrive directed by Lana Wachowski on December 22 and, in addition to theaters, it will also be available on HBO Max, which will arrive in Spain on October 26.
In addition to Keanu and Carrie-Anne, we will see Lambert Wilson (the obnoxious Merovingian), Jada Pinkett Smith (Captain Niobe) and Daniel Bernhardt (one of Agent Smith’s surrogates).
