‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ continues to make history. It didn’t take long for it to become the biggest movie success since the start of the pandemic and now it has just achieved another important milestone, because It is already the sixth highest grossing film of all time.
keep making history
As expected, the pace of revenue from ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has been slowing down after his impressive start. His last feat had been to reach the eighth place in the films with the highest income in history a couple of weeks ago and now he has surely reached a ceiling by snatching the sixth position from ‘Jurassic World’.
For now, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ adds 1,691 million dollars after entering 41.8 million -14.1 million in the United States and 27.7 million in the rest of the world- additional this weekend. His next goal would be the 2,048 million ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, but it is practically impossible to not have been released in China, where none of the Marvel movies released in 2021 have enjoyed distribution.
Recall that ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ entered 359 million dollars in China, a little less than the advantage it currently has over ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. With that and the rest that ends up entering the rest of the world, the fourth position would have been his and maybe even the third. Here is how the Top 10 looks today:
- ‘Avatar’ with 2,847 million dollars
- ‘Avengers: Endgame’ with 2,797 million dollars
- ‘Titanic’ with 2,201 million dollars
- ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ with 2,069 million dollars
- ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ with 2,048 million dollars
- ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ with 1,691 million dollars
- ‘Jurassic World’ with 1,670 million dollars
- ‘The Lion King’ (2019) with 1,662 million dollars
- ‘The Avengers’ with 1,518 million
- ‘Fast & Furious 7’ with 1,515 million
