New World released new May update with 3v3 PvP Arenas

In great news for the entire New World gaming community, Amazon Games has released the New World May Update, which introduces some big changes to the content, including small-scale 3v3 PvP arenas, a reward track with two new coins, new Expedition Mutators, quality of life upgrades, and more.

Enter the arena and test your skills against other fighters! 3v3 Arenas are a new small-scale PvP game mode where teams of 3 can battle it out for fame, glory, and riches. You can even win some unique housing items. Every match in the arena is a “Best of 5” competition.

Battle to be the first team to win 3 rounds and secure the match for your team. Rounds last 2 minutes, but if the battle is delayed, a deadly ring of fire will push players into the center of the arena, forcing combatants to fight or die!

Players level 20 and above can sneak into 3v3 arenas by opening the Modes menu, and by enabling on-demand PvP gameplay from anywhere in Aeternum. If players need a brief introduction to what an arena is, they can speak to Battle Promoter Maximus Marcellus in Everfall.

  • The new 3v3 PvP arenas will allow teams of three to battle it out in a “Best of 5” contest for glory and riches, including some unique housing items.
  • The updated reward track will introduce PvP XP and Salt of Azoth coins, which players can earn through PvP-related activities.
  • The Depths are now included in the weekly Expedition Mutator rotation for a new challenge in Aeternum and end-game rewards. Three new types of mutations have also been added – Giant, Barbarian and Diabolical.
  • Player selected pronoun will now be reflected in chat. For example, when using an emote, the preferred pronoun will be displayed.
