One of the elements that always manages to improve at Microsoft is the Surface Pen. This little accessory has been gaining functionality over the years. They began by improving their sensitivity, later recognizing the inclination when writing and now with the sensation of writing.
With the new Surface Pen 2 you will notice even when you write
One of the biggest challenges when writing on a screen is to liken the experience to that of writing on a sheet of paper. In this way we isolate technology to focus solely on the creative experience. This increases retention and offers new levels of versatility. Yesterday they showed the next step on the Surface Pen.
Without the need for pressure and with almost zero latency, the Surface Slim Pen 2 gives us even greater control and precision. The nib has a sharper finish helping to provide a finer point in writing, shading and underlining. When magnetically attached to the Surface Laptop Studio or stored in the surface Pro Signature Keyboard, it will charge and be ready to go when needed.
The Surface Slim Pen 2 takes advantage of the new capabilities of Windows 11 and the new processor Microsoft G6 found inside Surface Pro 8 and Surface Laptop Studio to provide the feel of a pen on paper.
In this way, Microsoft wants the Windows Ink experience to evolve with Windows 11 and the apps that can unleash its potential. This is the case of the Microsoft 365 Suite or the new Adobe Fresco among others. We hope that many more companies will join in offering their software for Windows 11 and thus unleash the full potential of this accessory. Next year we will surely have some surprises regarding the Surface Slim Pen although we believe that it is difficult to improve it further.
