Let’s be honest: the MCU is not going through its best moment. The disappointment of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the rejection of the fans towards certain products, and irregular box office have in check the next Marvel projects. In an effort to save the tapes that are to come, and to avoid a new chaos, The Marvels moved its release date from July 28 to November 10. The first reports indicated that the tape was not exactly good, and that Marvel was looking to fix it as much as possible, but now there is a ray of hope.
According to the most recent reports, Marvel arranged new test features for The Marvels. Fortunately, the results were much better than what was commented a few weeks ago. Insider Jeff Sneider was the first to report that the film was chaos both on screen and behind the scenes. and now it was KC Walsh who responded with what he knows about the project. In his words, it is a matter of sexism.
“Again, I haven’t heard anything negative around this production, the movie has received more positive praise than other MCU movies this year, sexist YouTubers use Larson as a way to curry favor with sexists and racists.”
It is worth mentioning that Walsh was also questioned about the positive response of The Marvels. Specifically, he was asked if, based on the test features, it was better than Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3, to which he responded with a resounding “No”. This brought up the rumors about Brie Larson’s behavior and attitude. Both factors, supposedly, influenced the chaos around The Marvels.
“I’m not even quite sure where that came from or why. Everything I’ve heard about The Marvels has been very positive and brilliant, including the production,” he added.
For now, no one around the cast has spoken about the rumors. Thanks to the latest test features, it is ensured that Brie Larson is once again a great protagonist. And also that the participation of Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau) is incredibly good. If true, Marvel just has to wait for the premiere of the tape and trust there. At the end of the day, we’re looking at the sequel to a movie that grossed over $1.1 billion.
The Marvelsdirected by Nia DaCosta (Candyman), and starring Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani, will hit theaters in Mexico next November 10. Will it be the success that Marvel needs?
Juan Jose Cruz I am one of those who always defended Robert Pattinson as Batman and can see the same movie in the theater up to 7 times. My guilty pleasure? Low budget horror movie.
