The smallest of the new Henrik Fisker models is presented in a new preview much more defined and with a less futuristic look. The one known as Fisker PEAR, which is getting closer to production, will hit the market in 2024 and whose price can be lowered.
The big problem with electric cars is their price, marked mainly by the battery. The most expensive component found on board and which, on some models, costs as much as a Dacia Sandero. It is a reality that prevents the electric ones from reaching the smallest on the market, utility type, and that the compact ones have more autonomy at a more contained and competitive price.
The Premiums intend to revolutionize both markets, although the level of tranquility in which they navigate right now is going to be overwhelmed in a few months by Henrik Fisker. The one from the Californian brand has just given a new, much more real preview of the second model that he is preparing, the new Fisker PEAR, which will also sell in Europe. Gone is the anticipated futuristic look, although it maintains some special details like slim LED headlights and illuminated model name in the center.
The Fisker PEAR will hit the market in 2024, a compact crossover
It also retains a large honeycomb grille occupying a large part of the front, as well as the muscular wheel arches and the large alloy wheels and tires typical of a taller crossover-type model. Even the new preview already shows conventional exterior rearview mirrors, instead of the advanced and sophisticated cameras. An important sample of a more than significant advance in its development and of which Fisker has pointed out that it will not be as small as it seemed, since measures 4.5 meters long.
That is to say, it will not be the size of the Renault ZOE as has been pointed out, but it will be much larger than the French one, midway between the compact segment and the D segment. Fiskerwho has pointed to a price of 29,900 dollars, approximately 27,844 euros at the current exchange rate, strongly advocates further reduce this price with a simplification of some components outsourcing production to the facility in Graz, Austria, where the new Fisker Ocean is produced, at least for Europe.
Because, for the United States, the new Fisker PEAR will be manufactured at the facilities of Foxconn, the Taiwanese producer of the iPhone, from 2024 with an estimated annual manufacturing capacity of 250,000 units. A real challenge to which the vein produced in Austria can also join, if they finally decide on a manufacturing location for this continent. The interesting thing is that the smallest of the Fiskers can already be reserved with a previous deposit of only 250 dollars.
