The Last of Us is coming to HBO Max in its own series.
Although everything pointed to The Last of Us would be one of the most anticipated series of the year 2022 on HBO Max, the truth is that the adaptation of the successful Naughty Dog game aims to be released next year and not this one. In fact, its filming is still in full swing, leaking a new handful of moments that once again demonstrate the great fidelity that real-action images will follow compared to the video game.

Neil Druckman, who created the post-apocalyptic world that Joel and Ellie travel through, directs one of the episodes of the series, explaining that the adaptation will allow you to explore more of the characters, since through cameras it has been possible to go beyond the video game. Among other details, the director always makes it clear that the series will go deeper into the journey that both characters go through in the first installment of the saga.
The series of The Last of Us has already advanced some other changes regarding the game. While the timeline of the PS3 title took place in the year 2033, HBO Max has changed the timeline of this, transporting adaptation to 2023.
The protagonists of The Last of Us on HBO Max
The Last of Us will star Peter Pascalin the role of Joel, and Bella Ramseylike Ellie. Both were the main survivors who joined all their strength and skills in the first game of the franchise. Storm Reid will also be in the cast, as she has recently played Riley Abel, another survivor who was present at the center of the first game’s DLC, The Last of Us: Left Behind.
