Although it went a bit unnoticed, a new CrossfireX trailer during Gamescom 2021. It’s been quite a while since we last heard from CrossfireX. Aside from a brief beta, information on the upcoming joint production between Remedy Entertainment and Smilegate has been scant. But that changed at Gamescom 2021, as CrossfireX reappeared at Gamescom 2021 with new maps, game modes, characters, and more.
The appearance of the game was limited to the multiplayer that is being developed by Smilegate, the original developers of the title. CrossfireX will include a classic multiplayer option fans of the original should be comfortable with, along with two other game modes known as specter and modern.
