The future of Xbox is very promising, and proof of this is Fable, one of the many big Xbox exclusive releases for years to come. As many of you know, the franchise created by Peter Molyneux and Lionhead Studios was a complete success, especially with its three main installments. But since Fable III, released in 2010, everything seemed to stop for this saga, which luckily is now back with a reboot that aims to be incredible on Xbox Series X|S.
Since its reveal in 2020, the details have been very scarce, beyond the supports that Playground Games seems to be receiving in development, which would already take 4 years of filming. Many fans dream of being able to play this reboot in just a few years, but a new clue about the state of development of the new Fable could have undermined those hopes.
The first conceptual arts of the new Fable for Xbox Series X | S would have been revealed
While new content and updates continue to be brought to the successful Forza Horizon 5, Playground is focused on the development of the new Fable, which everyone is eagerly awaiting a relatively close release date. But unfortunately, a new job offer published through LinkedIn(where they are looking for a senior rendering engineer) has revealed that the state of development of the new Fable continues at an early stage. However, after this information has spread through social networks, Playground Games has removed the term “early stage of development”.
The new Fable will be a triple A on a grand scale, respecting the legacy of previous installments, thus maintaining the series’ light-hearted qualities and British style. As Phil Spencer commented a few months ago, fans should have confidence in Playground Games, since they are preparing a masterpiece for us, just as they have done with Forza Horizon 5.
