With the intention of turning them into ambassadors of Mexico, the mascots Nayari, the jaguar, and Mexcalti, the blue deer, were presented this May 30 at Casa Nayarit. These are two illustrations that will be reproduced on various products, such as stuffed animals and figurines, which will be manufactured by Huichol artisans from Nayarit so that they can be exhibited in the network of Mexican embassies and consulates around the world as part of a promotional campaign. of Nayarit internationally.
The implementation of this new tourism campaign in Nayarit, which directly benefits all the states of Mexico, was carried out with work coordinated by the Secretary of Foreign Relations, Marcelo Ebrard, and Dr. Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, governor of said state.
It should be noted that the profits obtained from the sale of handicrafts will go to the Sovereign Fund of our state, thus strengthening the progress and well-being of our community. Besides, Nayarit becomes the first state to join Civitatis, the leading platform for tourism experiences worldwide. This achievement highlights the commitment and avant-garde vision of our state, which is at the forefront in an increasingly competitive tourism market, and which has extraordinary beauty and traditions to position itself internationally.
According to Dr. Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, this is only the beginning of a strong promotion of Nayarit, with which it is intended to show that this state is not limited to being a beach destination. Among the great actions, is that Nayarit will participate at the head of a convoy made up of states and mayors of Mexico that will participate in the Miami Tourism Fair, where all the riches and alternatives that our beautiful state has to offer will be exhibited.
