This same week, Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazier are picked up again on our screens. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection puts us in front of the last two works of the naughty dog franchise, offering an important face lift for two high-quality titles.
That is why The Bit Analyst has made his usual comparison to make it clear to us how much both games improve on PS5. we still still to see the titles on PC, but for now we can already take a look at it on Sony consoles.
In the first place, it is necessary to make clear both the storage occupied by the titles in the systems and the resolution and frame rate:
- PS4: 104.63GB with 1080p resolution at 30FPS.
- PS4 Pro: 107.08GB with 1440p resolution at 30FPS.
On PS5 they reach 68.92GB and are divided into the following display modes:
- Fidelity mode: 2160p at 30FPS.
- Performance mode: 1440p at 60FPS.
- Performance Mode +: 1080p at 120FPS.
Once this section has been explained, we can verify in the comparison that the differences are substantial in other sections. For example, loading times have been noticeably reduced, going from more than 35 seconds on older consoles to just two seconds on PS5.
It can also be seen in the size that Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy occupy on the hard drive, being much smaller for the pack of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. The Analyst indicates in other details that there is a slight improvement in the far shadows, while anisotropic filtering experiences a more evident improvement.
The drawing distance with respect to geometry and elements has increased and indicates that frame rate drops at times of increased stress in the system. The textures, meanwhile, have remained unchanged.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection arrives on January 28 for PS5 and you can receive the visual improvement after paying 10 euros. Of course, the saved games and trophies previously obtained can be transferred to the new versions through the PlayStation Plus cloud save.
