So fans of UCM have been heard, since we had been waiting for an official trailer for months, and this week that wish has been fulfilled, which came accompanied by a series of great posters with an additional bonus, that of Jane Fosterwith his suit, helmet and hammer, since they had only focused on Thorbut now The Mighty Thorhas made its official appearance as part of the publicity for the film.
And boy, since the official trailer video was released, everyone had a lot to say about Portman’s big transformation, but, she’s been candid about how much physical work it would take to embody Jane Foster’s alter ego, which clearly has paid off after the internet at large has spent days swooning over those biceps.
The actress joked a bit on Instagram: “And you thought you were the only one… @chrishemsworth @thorofficial #thorloveandthunder @marvelstudios”where portman talked about going to the gym to lift that hammer with Vanity Fair, obviously it’s not all fun, but the results speak for themselves in this case.
“It was really fun”said portman as he detailed his exercises and training. “I worked with a trainer, Naomi Pendergast, for, I think, four months before filming and then obviously throughout filming. We did a lot of weight training and a lot of protein shakes; I’ve never done that before. Of course, I’ve never had as a goal to be bulky. It was very physical, so it was a lot of agility work and also strength work.”
And then he added during the same interview: “It definitely helps you get into character, and it definitely changed the way I move. You walk differently, you feel different. I mean, it’s so wild to feel strong for the first time in my life.”
