From this Monday, February 27 to Thursday, March 2, the Mobile World Congress 2023 (MWC 2023) will be held in Barcelona, Spain, in which Lenovo will present a concept model of a rollable laptop.

the website of Ubergizmo was able to see a demonstration of the device before the opening of the event, a hybrid between the dual-screen Lenovo Yogabook 9i laptop and LG Signature OLED R roll-up TV.

Lenovo’s Rollable Laptop Prototype has a 12.7-inch screen with a 4:3 (2024 × 1604) aspect ratio when the flexible screen is fully retracted below the keyboard. Once activated by the button located on the right side, the motor expands 17.9mm-thick flexible display on a tall 15.3-inch vertical display with an 8:9 aspect ratio (or two 16:9, 2024×2368 displays).

The entire expansion process takes a few seconds, which is fine for a laptop, but can be a bit long for a phone.

“We took a standard laptop and scaled it up horizontally or vertically to give you more productivity on the go Butler said.

The arrival of these types of computers with these screens makes sense, especially since remote work has become a normality in the world. Large flexible displays improve the quality and performance of workers in the digital age.
