A new tactical turn-based RPG is coming with Miasma Chronicles, the next installment in The Bearded Ladies that serves as a spiritual sequel to Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden and will be published by 505 Games. Miasma Chronicles is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store next year.
Set in the future, the earth has been devastated by a savage force known as the “Miasma”, and the story of Miasma Chronicles takes us to a devastated USA where lives Elvis, a young man with an inherited glove that is able to control the Miasma. In this way he begins a post-apocalyptic adventure in search of answers that will affect the future of humanity forever.

Miasma Chronicles was announced in early May of this year with a cinematic trailer, which introduces us to the premise of the story and its protagonist Elvis, as well as his caretaker robot. Although the trailer doesn’t show any gameplay footage, 505 Games released some screenshots that give us an idea of what to expect.
Like Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, Miasma Chronicles is a tactical turn-based RPG in a post-apocalyptic environment, so we can expect an evolution of what was proposed in the first installment. Additionally, Miasma Chronicles will feature sections focused on real-time exploration, with detailed settings and quirky characters.
The first playable demo of Miasma Chronicles will be presented at Gamescom 2022, which will take place from August 24 to 28 this year. Event attendees will be able to play the Miasma Chronicles Stray Blade and Serial Cleaners demo at the 505 Games booth. Additionally, visitors will be able to play Gunfire Reborn, which is coming to Xbox Game Pass.
