mr popo not so famous in the series dragon ball. Like Kami-sama, he has spent much of the series watching events unfold from The Temple of Kami-sama. He does a good job of taking care of the place, but from how often he shows up, it can seem like he doesn’t matter.
However, contrary to what most people think, mr popo he has done much more in the series than water the plants of Kami-sama’s Temple. He is not fighting with the rest of the Z Fighters, but he has had quite an active role in the story, especially in Dragon Ball Z.
One of the things that mr popo has helped is in the training of the Z Fighters. In the original anime of dragon ballHe helped Goku train for three years to fight Piccolo Jr. in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. He also helped Goku’s friends train for the Saiyan invasion; most were killed, but some were able to actually help in the fighting.
He is also responsible for replenishing the Time Room with rations; without it, no one could use it to train properly. Although Mr. Popo never participated in any major battles, he was responsible for ensuring that the Z Fighters were strong enough to resist.
mr popo he also saw to it that the Namek Saga was developed. He helped Bulma find Kami-sama’s ship on the Yunzabit Plateau. He also taught Bulma the Namek language so she could build a translator and actually use the ship. If it wasn’t for him, Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan wouldn’t have made it to Namek as soon as they did.
mr popo he also helped the Z Fighters by gathering the Earth Dragon Balls. Originally this was done to bring back the Z Fighters who died during the Saiyan invasion. However, he used them to call for the return of Frieza’s victims as part of North Kai’s elaborate plan.
Not to mention that he scoured the world and found the Spheres without a radar while the Z Fighters were fighting Frieza. Mr. Popo may never have gone to Namek, but he provided invaluable help to everyone else during his time on the planet.
Another way in which Mr. Popo was part of the history of dragon ball It’s in the Saga of Boo. When Super Boo was turning the whole world into Kami-sama’s Temple, he threw Dendé to Earth to be saved. Thus, Dendé was able to help the Z Warriors to use the Namekian Dragon Balls thanks to Mr. Popo’s dedication.
Unfortunately, Mr. Popo doesn’t have much to do after DBZ. Besides maintaining the Room of Time, as he has done in the past, he is mostly a silent observer. This is where he has officially become as useful as Goku’s older friends, but at least some of those friends have become useful themselves.
In any case, Mr. Popo’s help throughout Dragon Ball cannot be underestimated. He was able to significantly assist in key ways that not even the Z Fighters, with all his might, could. In this sense, he can at least be called a hero.
