Telefónica has just taken a further step in its business diversification strategy with a new proposal in the field of insurance. Its about new home insurance from Movistar, which will be available in the coming weeks for customers and non-customers of the operator in various modalities depending on the coverage contracted.

This new proposal, similar to what Orange has been offering for a long time, comes from the hand of the Group’s insurer, Telefónica Seguros, which has partnered with SANTALUCÍA and BBVA Allianz. With this launch, Movistar expands its position in a segment in which it already had other products such as Mobile Insurance, Device Insurance and Business Cyber ​​Insurance.

Currently, through Telefónica Seguros, Movistar markets a Mobile Insurance for contract customers and a Device Insurance for customers and non-customers of the operator. In the coming weeks, moreover, will offer to everyone their new Home Insurance thanks to the association of Telefónica Seguros with two well-known companies in the sector, SANTALUCÍA and BBVA Allianz.

As confirmed by Telefónica, the new insurance will have several modalities “to adapt to the needs of each client and the characteristics of the home, from the most basic to the most complete”, with coverage such as water damage, fire, theft, legal protection or handyman, among other.

In your cover letter, this new home insurance promises “quick attention to unforeseen events and useful services”, such as, Out-of-home robbery compensation, compensation for loss of food in refrigerators or replacement in case of glass-ceramic breakage. Although it clarifies that these indicated coverages will depend on the type of policy finally contracted.
