The Bitwares team has already been putting together the list of the most anticipated games of this 2022 but there are also several video games that are coming back this year. How will these sagas continue? Will they be as successful?
When we talk about continuations the eyes of the fans go wide. “Second parts never was good”; this does not always apply. Although the fear that a beloved saga falls into oblivion is present.
There are some that have several games in their franchise like the king of Fighters that returns with its fifteenth part or Great tourism with his seventh game. Others arrive fifteen years later as the second part of S.TA.LKER.
Finally there are the ones that don’t have dates and smell like 2023 like Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4, Final Fantasy XVI, Hollow Knight: Silksong or Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human – February 04

The King of Fighters XV – February 17

The fifteenth part of the franchise that started in 1994, adds characters from all the SNK sagas from Fatal Fury until Samurai shodown. The contests will improve with Unreal Engine technology and will see changes in both its visual and sound sections.
Total War: Warhammer 3 – February 17

The closing of the trilogy created by The Creative Assembly will take Warhammer characters into battles between legendary heroes and fantasy monsters.
Horizon: Forbidden West – February 18

Aloy’s story continues in Horizon: Forbidden West. The Guerrilla team has already shown the advances we can expect in this world that balances between nature and technology. All improved thanks to the hardware of the PS5.
Gran Turismo 7 – 04 March

Polyphony Digital is another that bets strongly on the advantages of PS5 with Gran Turismo 7 especially for its dual sense control. The game will also use real tracing to have even more realistic graphics. It has also been leaked that it will have more than 400 cars and almost 100 tracks.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl – April 28
