On February 25, ‘Nasdrovia’ returns to the screens with its season 2 and Movistar Plus+ has released a teaser trailer that anticipates that the problems will continue for the couple played by Leonor Watling and Hugo Silva.
In fact, the creators of the series have already warned that in these new episodes we are going to browse more in the thriller and the noir genre, showing us six months after the end of the previous season, Edurne and Julián increasingly involved in a criminal organization from which, above all, they want to escape.
But not only will we have more thrillers, but also the series will have the presence of Jaime Blanch as himself in a metafiction plot “in which the viewer will not know where reality begins and ends.”
Among the new faces we will have Eliza Rycembel, Panos Mouzourakis and Radoje Cupic as members of an assassination agency and Julian Villagran will be a taxi driver with an eccentric life. These join a main cast made up of Watling, Silva, Luis Bermejo, Anton Yakovlev (Boris), Michael John Treanor (Sergei), Yan Tual (Vasilli), Kevin Brand (Yuri), and Arben Bajraktaraj (Rodia).
More thriller than comedy
Sergio Sarria, Luismi Perez, Miguel Esteban are the creators of the series and Marc Vigil is the director, who also joins the writing team. In the words of the creative force:
“Unlike the first season in which Julián and Edurne were obsessed with the search for happiness, in the second season of Nasdrovia our protagonists just want to survive. They just have different ideas of how to do it.
Although the comedy tone has been maintained, the new season of Nasdrovia focuses more on the thriller and the noir genre, which gives the entire series a darker layer. In this sense, the fact that Marc Vigil is one of the script team has helped us to give more nuances to both the plot and the characters.
Edurne and Julián are still the usual snobs, but now they’re much more screwed up. In this season they will discover that if something can go wrong, it will get worse. The Russian mafia is now part of their lives, with Boris at odds with his entire family and more dangerous than ever. Nadrovia remains an addictive modern comedy about how the idea of getting older can go from seeming depressing to being the best of ideas.”
