Fictional works have become more popular than ever. For decades, with a fairly strong stigma towards comics, video games and animation content that was popularly considered “kid stuff”, this type of content was not very popular. Luckily, with the passage of time, as we have grown older, we have knocked down an increasingly small social prejudice. There are still reminiscences that seek to ignite criticism, but today we can enjoy this type of hobbies without any problem and we can give wings to our own creativity. This has been done by an artist who, in an act of admiration for the sagas of Marvel and Pokémon, has united these two worlds in a magnificent way.
This set of works are from Reddit user jaibrooklyn, which will sound familiar to more than one, because It’s not the first time we talk about him. In fact, on this occasion, we will not admire one of his drawings, but rather a complete collection of crossovers between iconic Marvel characters and several of the most popular Pokémon in the entire Pokédex. Of course, it is a curious and striking mixture, but certainly agrees artistically.
Among the creatures that the artist has drawn, we can see a Snorlax characterized as the mythical villain Kingpin, to Scizor as if it were the armor of Hombre de Hierro, to Gengar with the unique face of Venom, the mighty Alakazam with the impressive appearance of the dr strange, or Lucario who takes the path of DC to make a crossover with Batman. Of course, it makes you think about the possibility that there is an alternative universe in which these same Pokémon were in charge of embodying those heroes and villains from the world of comics. Who knows, maybe in one of the millions of realities of a “What if…?” shift there is a universe in which Pokémon live as heroes and villains from Marvel and DC.
