The first titles that would reflect this change would be the next installment of Forza Motorsport and the new IPs redfall Y Starfieldfrom Bethesda, which is scheduled for release in 2023.
“This pricing reflects the content, scale, and technical complexity of these titles. As with all games developed by our teams on Xbox, they will also be available on Game Pass the same day they launch,” a Microsoft representative told IGN.
It remains to be seen if the Xbox Series X and S itself will also suffer a price increase in the face of inflationary pressures, just as it happened with the PlayStation 5 last August .
Although Microsoft initially said its console would not go up in price, Phil Spencer, CEO of gaming at Microsoft, said in October that prices for Xbox systems or Game Pass would inevitably go up sometime after the winter holidays.
