In December, Microsoft surprised us by allowing password management and auto-completion to come to Authenticator on iOS and Android. Like any password manager, the application will help us to automatically fill in secure passwords for any site we visit. These passwords will be synchronized between smartphones and Windows computers. And it is possible to fill them automatically when necessary. On the desktop, we can use the passwords saved with Microsoft Edge and the new Google Chrome extension.
Authenticator now allows us to import passwords from Chrome
Today Microsoft Authenticator Beta on Android has the ability to import passwords directly from Google Chrome, making it much easier to get started with the application.
Users can also import passwords from a file. CSV, a format often used by other applications to export your passwords. Microsoft is continuing to test the feature and it is currently only available to select beta users of the Android app.
An incredible quality leap for Microsoft Authenticator that has gone from having a remote position to becoming a linchpin. With such a password manager, the need for other password managers is blurred. The integration that Authenticator offers is incredible and how it works too.
