The swimmer Michael Phelps announced the launch of a nft collection Official in collaboration with OneOfNft and the magazine Sports Illustrated to increase knowledge of mental health.

The legendary Olympian made the announcements on different social media platforms with a message that read: “For most of my career, I only saw myself as a swimmer. But swimming is what I do, not who I am. I am a person with feelings and emotions like everyone else.”

Phelps’ NFTs are spread across four tiers. Green level ones are still images, while Gold, Platinum and Diamond level ones are digital collectibles that contain animation. These NFTs are sold as a bundle for $20 each and come with 4 random NFTs from each of these tiers. You can find them here.

The swimmer has been one of the most vocal athletes about his struggles with anxiety and depression in the past. The goal of the American athlete has been to normalize the discussion about depression, anxiety and OCD.

Phelps is the most successful Olympian of all time. In his career he accumulated a total of 28 Olympic medals (23 gold). He has also won 33 world championship medals (26 golds) and 21 Pan-Pacific medals (16 golds).
