It is estimated that in the capital of Germany, Berlin, there are about 7 thousand inhabitants from Mexico.
Through his TikTok account, a young Mexican “godín” who lives in Germany shared a brief file of his daily work routine, where, apparently, most of his work is in the form of home office.
We are immersed in an era where the digital experience seems to be everything, especially in a context in which social networks are a highly effective communication window.
Let’s not forget that, after the emergence of Covid-19, the only way of communication between people was through social networks and other platforms, such as Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime, among others.
In this sense, data revealed by Planning Quant indicates that, in 2020, the most popular video call platforms in Mexico were: WhatsApp (84 percent); Facebook Messenger (52); Zoom (41); Skype (15); Microsoft Teams (10); Google Meet (7) and Hangouts (5).
Starting from this premise, Zoom was placed as one of the five most downloaded applications in the world, accumulating 477 million downloads, according to information from Apptopia.
That said, another of the spaces that grew the most was that of social networks, where TikTok was, without a doubt, the undisputed winner in both 2020 and 2021. Apptoiaonce again, reveals that in the twin year the Chinese platform accumulated 850 million downloads worldwide, being the app most requested by users.
In addition, part of the most remarkable thing about TikTok is that it has established itself as the favorite social network for Generation Z and as a window to learn about different stages of users.
Mexican “Godín” shows work routine… in Germany
The work culture, in its most essential aspects, seems to be the same in all countries, a fact that we have been able to verify thanks to the video platforms that, today, dominate the market.
From this perspective, young people have a much broader and more direct space to interact, as well as being more “intimate” or “personal”.
That said, it is worth talking about a video on TikTok where a young Mexican office worker or “godín” who lives in Germany shares a brief period of his work routine in that country.
According to what he points out, everything indicates that a large part of his work is carried out in home office mode and he only goes to the office one day.

Within the so-called “youth jargon”, the term “godín” is one of the most popular and representative, especially among those known as “chilangos”.
