Yesports, the cross-chain Metaverse platform (MEP), announced its alliance with Infinity, the champions of the 2021 Latin American Esports League, to bring the entire community of the region closer to its platform, and also to be able to provide all the opportunities it has the web3 for the followers of the team.

Esports a booming sector
According to the statement shared by Yesports and Infinity, the growth of Esports continues at an unprecedented rate, with global revenue forecast to reach a staggering $1.62 trillion by 2024. This market, they say, also boasts one of the highest levels of engagement, and is forecasts the global live streaming audience to grow to 577.2 million by 2024.
Esports in Latin America continues to grow in popularity, as seen recently with the announcement of the first “South American Esports Championships”. This highly anticipated championship is led by The Global Esports Federation and will run in parallel to the 2022 South American Games in Asunción, Paraguay in early October.
Lastly, it should be noted that South America is also considered a global epicenter for “play-to-earn” (P2E) crypto gaming, with Argentina, Brazil, and Venezuela leading the way. Amidst an economic climate of high inflation and declining local currency value, a large number of young people turned to P2E gaming to supplement their income.
