Another tactical action game that skips 2022.
Dotemu and Leikir Studio have confirmed through social networks that Metal Slug Tactics is officially delayed to 2023, although without an approximate release date. This is a new proposal within the series that changes the classic gameplay of Gun n Run for a tactical action in the purest XCOM style.
Metal Gear Tactics did not have a specific release date for this year, but it was expected to arrive before the end of 2022 to Nintendo Switch consoles and PC. Now we will know that we will have to wait a little longer to be able to enjoy its promising commitment to tactical action with arcade aesthetics.
“Marco, Eri, Fio and Tarma are working to make Metal Slug Tactics as explosive as possible at launch, but the squad needs a little more time in store to prepare for the battles to come. See you in 2023!” Dotemu confirms through his official Twitter account.
Marco, Eri, Fio, and Tarma are tinkering away to make #MetalSlugTactics as explosive as possible on release, but the squad needs a bit more time in the shop to prepare for the battles ahead. See you in 2023! @LeikirStudio x @Dotemu

Bad times for tactical action games
To finish completing the losing streak for fans of tactical action games we must add to this delay of Metal Slug Tactics that of Midnight Suns, also to 2023, and that of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp for Nintendo Switch, which still has no clear date despite the fact that it should have come out last year. This 2022 they have managed to come up with proposals as interesting as Hard West 2set in the old West, we’ll see how 2023 behaves.
