The next sequel to Top gun will hit theaters on November 19.
In addition to previewing new images of Mission: Impossible 7 on the CinemaCon this week, the star of action Tom cruise He also made a video call appearance to show the first thirteen minutes of Top Gun: Maverick, which will be released in theaters this fall. As a challenge, Maverick launches a jet at sunset in the middle of a desert, in an attempt to reach Mach 10, ten times the speed of sound. Apparently Maverick doesn’t care what happens to him, or his plane, as long as he gets one last trip.
The plane takes off and passes over the rear admiral of Ed harris, which almost destroyed the door box. Furious, the admiral heads to the control room as Maverick towers above him, nicknamed by one of the technicians as man alive faster. When its engine starts to fail, Maverick keeps moving forward, overtaking Mach 10 to the cheers from the control room, until it passes 10.1 and things quickly fall apart.
After seemingly exploding in midair, the audience sees that Maverick is fine, albeit slightly stunned, as he walks into a rural coffee shop to the surprise of customers, who ask him where he is. The footage ends there, leaving audiences wondering what happened to him and how the incident will affect them for the rest of the film.
Top Gun: Maverick it also stars Jennifer connelly (An amazing mind, 2001), Miles Teller (Whiplash, 2014) and Jon hamm (Mad men, 2007 – 2015). It is directed by Joseph Kosinski (Oblivion, 2013; Tron Legacy, 2010). It was originally slated for a July 2019 release, but the film was delayed due to production issues and the COVID-19 pandemic.
