Nanoleaf has presented a new lighting system with which it enlarges its catalog. It is about new LED strips to which they have given the name of Lines. A modular lighting system in which the company has achieved a more stylized design that favors the creation of geometric shapes.
Nanoleaf Lines strips are a lighting system made up of rigid LED bars, unlike other proposals on the market that are based on flexible LED strips. In this case and as in other products, these they are interlocked by means of bridges that serve as a union for each LED strip.
25,000 hours of life and compatible with Matter
Each Nanoleaf Lines is 27.85 centimeters long, 2 centimeters wide, and 8 millimeters thick. With these dimensions and thanks to the bridges, all kinds of geometric shapes at angles up to 60 degrees.
But perhaps the most interesting issue is that the Nanoleaf Lines are compatible with Matter, the new protocol that will arrive in 2022 after a small delay and to which products from different manufacturers are gradually being added. Matter is the new standard that aims to bring together the industry’s greats under the same protocols to achieve a unified system of interconnectable and compatible equipment.
Otherwise, each Nanoleaf Lines integrates two color zones with temperatures ranging from 1200K to 6500K and allows you to create dynamic lighting scenes, synchronize with music and reflect the colors that appear on the PC screen.
Each LED strip has a brightness of 20 lumens and depending on the brand they offer up to 25,000 hours lifespan. They connect directly to the home Wi-Fi network in the 2.4 GHz b / g / n band, as they are not compatible with 5 GHz networks.
To control them we can use the Nanoleaf app available for Android and iOS or the Nanoleaf desktop application for Windows and Mac. In addition, they are compatible with the connected home of Apple HomeKit, IFTTT, SmartThings, Razer Chrome and the assistants. Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
