Next month the Guardians of the Galaxy will return to action, although it will not be with a new movie. Instead they will do it with the video game Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy that is being developed by Eidos Montreal and about which Bandai Namco has wanted to offer us a new preview with a couple of videos in the form of gameplay.
Both are driven by Patrick Fortier, the game’s senior mechanics director, and in the case of the first of them focuses entirely on combat. Although at all times the only character that we will control will be Star-Lord, during the battles that we fight we will be able to give orders to the rest of the characters simply by pressing a button that will be assigned to each one.
The rest of the time they will act on their own, but if we want them to take any particular action we can make Rocket blow everything up with his explosives, Groot is in charge of protecting the group, Drax stuns the adversaries and Gamora makes attacks most lethal. Likewise, all will improve their capacities according to skill points that we are distributing.
Regarding the second video, this one shows us a comprehensive preview of all the possibilities outside of combat. A large part of them will take place in La Milano, the spaceship of our group of protagonists where we can interact with them and access a workbench to use the components that we find in the manufacture of improvements.
As the story progresses, we will visit new exotic planets and some of the most recognized locations in the Marvel universe. In addition, at certain times it will be necessary make decisions of all kinds that will influence the relationship we will maintain with our comrades in arms.
Each player will determine the way in which they prefer to advance and for this they will have to wait until the October 26th, the day that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy It will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
