We are in the month of pride and to celebrate it Marvel has just announced the first Spider Man LGBT+because the Edge of Spider-Verse #5 comic will show us the first Homosexual Spider-Man. This comic is being made in collaboration with the producers of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
There is no doubt that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is one of the best movies not only taking into account the animated ones, but also the entire Spider-Man and superhero genre, so we are very excited for its sequel. . The first gay Spider-Man in Marvel comics history will appear in Edge of Spider-Verse #5, which is due out in September of this year. This week the cover of this issue was revealed, where we see the new LGBT Spider-Man in a pose that many consider very stereotypical, as we can see in the comments on social networks.
This new version of Spider-Man is called Web-Weaver and was announced last week by Steve Foxe, writer of the comic. It was then that Foxe confirmed that Edge of Spider-Verse #5 will go on sale in September, in addition to revealing that the character was designed by Kris anka and the cover was done by Josemaria Casanovas.
Not many details are known about the Web-Weaver, but the producers of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its sequels, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, are known to be involved in the comic’s story, so the most it’s sure to be canon for the animated Spider-Verse movies.
