As we all know, one of the best ways to show our rights and thoughts is to inform us of all movements that currently exist and analyze which ones we want to be part of. One of the most important movements at the moment is the LGBT March CDMX 2023 which will take place this June 24 at 10 a.m. in Mexico City. We give you five topics to consider so that you are informed of everything.
How and when will the march take place?
To give you some context about the march in Mexico, it happened for the first time in June 1979 when an LGBT march was held and since then it has been one of the largest marches in the country, this year it will take place next Saturday, June 24, leaving of the Angel of Independence at 10:00 a.m. This year’s motto is ¨Liberty, justice and dignity, they will never erase us! ¨ It is important to give a space to reflect and see how we can be part of this movement in our daily lives.
Why is it on this date?
The movement is known as LGBT+ Pride and this is one of the largest celebrations in the world and multiple movements take place throughout the month, that is, from June 1 to June 30.
What should I bring to the march?
For all the marches it is important to wear clothes that cover you from any danger, that you can move easily and above all that you are comfortable. In the same way, it is important to wear comfortable shoes and a bag with essential things such as some identification, water to stay hydrated and sunscreen. Don’t forget that this march is for celebration and pride, wear the colors of the flag and wear brightly colored clothes.
What are the reasons for this march?
Many times we know about the marches that exist in the world, but we do not know what their objective is, the most important goal of the LGBT Pride March is to publicly exhibit and express, the diversity of sexual and gender orientations that exist in society in order for society to become familiar with and accept them.
How to act before this movement?
We know that we are all always going to have different points of view, whether it is because of our values, beliefs, experiences, social environment, among others, but we must always be up to date with what is happening in the world, put ourselves in the other’s shoes, treat everyone respectfully and above all accept differences.
