Competition rules
Artisans and Mexican artists or foreigners residing in Mexico may participate. Each participant may enter a piñata, individually or collectively.
Piñatas that are or have participated in other contests, or previously awarded will not be accepted. Each piñata must meet the following characteristics:
- Have a clay pot as a base
- Be made and lined with traditional materials, such as: newsprint, china, crepe, among others.
- Plastic or metal will not be accepted. If decorations are made, they must be executed by hand.
- The piñata can be any size, shape and theme.
Inscription
Participants must register their piñata, providing the data indicated in the registration form, which is in the MAP website and send it with all the requested data to the email: [email protected] and/or [email protected] or deliver it to the MAP headquarters.
Registration closes on October 25, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. There will be no extension. The registered piñatas must be delivered to the MAP Exhibition Coordination, on November 3 and 4, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be no extension.
The pieces that are presented and do not comply with the provisions of these rules, will be automatically disqualified and will be the responsibility of the artisan or artist.
