The Marvel Cinematic Universe does not rest. The new trailer for Thor: love and thunder, the complete one that follows the teaser from a few weeks ago, once again reveals great details of the next film starring Chris Hemsworth. And probably the last one with the mythological hero as the headline.
In the new Thor: love and Thunder we already have the image of Gorr, the butcher god, played by Christian Bale. It is not a surprise, it was already known that the actor would play the villain of the installment. What was not clear was what final image Marvel would give him; nor did he weigh him in the film. Something that, in fact, is still unknown in the handful of published images. Yes, it points to a certain relationship with the Venom universe. In the few seconds that Gorr appears he is shown as a black, slimy substance; much like symbiotes. Will it be the definitive union that we were waiting for between the two universes? The added scenes of Venom or even Spider-Man: No Way Home had left small clues to this fact, but had not achieved total integration. Bale’s character in Thor: Love and Thunder may be the ultimate answer.
What is also not clear is who has the power of mjolnir. Nor is it something that has transpired. We did see Jane (Natalie Portman) wielding Thor’s hammer, but not at what point in the new Marvel movie. In fact, one of the great doubts that the two trailers published is what became of Jane herself from her last film to Thor: Love and Thunder. Some indications suggest that Jane was another of Thanos’s victims during the Blip and, indeed, disappeared along with half of civilization. Before or after the character’s cancer? That is yet to be seen in the new Marvel movie?
Of course, there is also an important gap for Valkyria and the Guardians of the Galaxy, the new traveling companions in Thor: Love and Thunder. However, all eyes in this new trailer have been on Zeus, played by Rusell Crowe, from the god of Olympus, only a simple finger gesture has been seen in an image in which Valkyria herself is using one of the rays of the greek god. Some theories suggest that Zeus will be defeated at some point in the film, although at the moment they are all rumors.
In any case, to know all the details, we still have to wait until July 7 for its theatrical release.
