the YouTuber Logan Paul has threatened to sue fellow YouTuber and internet sleuth Coffeezilla for defamation after he accused Paul’s CryptoZoo non-fungible token (NFT) project of being a “scam”.
Both have faced each other on social networks and in YouTube videos since December 17when Stephen Findeisen -also known as Coffeezilla- released the first of a series of three videos in which he attacked CryptoZoo and Paul, who was the face of the project.
“CryptoZoo was supposed to be a fun blockchain game that can make you money […] but millions of dollars of investor money later, things are still broken,” he said..
In his most recent reply, Logan Paul posted a YouTube video on January 4 accusing the internet sleuth of having “led the charge to push and monetize a narrative that tells millions of people that I am a fraud or have tried to scam my audience.”.

It has also accused Coffeezilla of having done it without verifying any background or substantiating any evidence.adding that “you took the words of multiple criminals as truth and broke the laws, and still published the defamation”, adding:
“We’ll see each other in court.”
CryptoZoo is an NFT game with the premise of allowing “ZooKeepers” to purchase NFT eggs using the game’s native token, ZOO. From these eggs would hatch animals that can be raised to create hybrid animals.
Hybrids were meant to be marketable and provide ZOO for ZooKeepers; Paul described the project in an August 21, 2021 podcast as a “really fun game that makes you money.”

Besides, Paul had suggested that the art for the game would be “handcrafted” by 10 different artists over six months..
The hybrids were the focus of a September 11, 2021 video by Coffeezilla in which he described the images as “a bunch of badly photoshopped Adobe stock photos.”.
However, the CryptoZoo blog has not posted any new content since April 20, leading some to believe that development of the project has stopped.
During Coffeezilla’s three-part series on CryptoZoo, the YouTuber interviewed purported investors in the project. An investor who claimed to still have eggs asked the CryptoZoo team to “reimburse the loyal supporters who have or try to rebuild the project”.
However, In his latest video, Paul said that they will “continue to build CryptoZoo”, sharing a teaser that said it would arrive in 2023/2024..
“Trust me, CryptoZoo is coming, I’ll make sure of it.”
Coffeezilla has continued to question the authenticity of these claims on Twitter..
Fear not CryptoZoo holders, who spent millions in 2021.
The basic game MIGHT be delivered in 2023/24!!!! and definitely not because I made a video series about it. pic.twitter.com/SQydiLrZjR—Coffeezilla (@coffeebreak_YT) January 4, 2023

For his part, both Paul and Coffeezilla have invited each other to discuss the matter on their respective platforms, but both have yet to accept any of the invites.
According to CoinMarketCap, the Zoo token has plunged 99.5% in the past year, despite some gains in the past week following recent media attention.
Paul had been an avid supporter of cryptocurrencies and NFTs throughout 2021 and was one of the main promoters of the Dink Doink (DINK) cryptocurrency before launching CryptoZoo.. Dink Doink was also attacked by Coffeezilla in a video from July 12, 2021.
