Many took advantage of the attractive discount, but the company sent them an email informing them that the purchase had been canceled and they would be refunded their money. For this reason, the more than 400 affected viralized the case with the hashtag #LiverpoolNoCumple.
Profeco responded that the company should “respect the rights of consumers in accordance with the Law.” In turn, Liverpool promised to give a 10% discount coupon for future purchases to whistleblowers, but it seems to be doing something different.
Liverpool’s compensation isn’t what they expected, but it’s something

Luis Hernández, a consulting attorney who initially handled the case, assured the media outlet that some 50 people obtained screens similar to the ones they had originally paid for. He explained that the vast majority of complainants have been contacted to offer them bonuses in electronic wallet, as well as the return of their money. Meanwhile, a group of around 180 people still have no answer or solution from Liverpool.
