MEXICO CITY, Aug 5 (Reuters) – León won 1-0 away to Querétaro on Thursday at the start of the third day of the Grita México A21 tournament.
With the result, León was placed in third place with six points, the same as recorded by Toluca and Mazatlán, but with a lower goal difference.
Those led by Argentine Ariel Holan, scored the winning goal in the 28th minute when Elías Hernández beat Uruguayan goalkeeper Washington Aguerre with a shot inside the area after a defensive rebound.
On Friday the matches between Mazatlán-Monterrey, Necaxa-Cruz Azul and Tijuana-Toluca will be played.
The activity will continue on Saturday when Guadalajara faces Bravos de Ciudad Juárez, América plays Puebla and Tigres UANL is local against Santos Laguna. A day later, Pumas UNAM will be Atlético de San Luis’ rival.
The day will be completed on Monday with the match between Pachuca and Atlas.
