Lenovo’s new ThinkStation series of computers is already among us. As a welcome to a new generation of products, the company presents its ThinkStation PX, P7 and P5, a response to the needs of companies and entrepreneurs. Each of them comes with a chassis that the company has designed in collaboration with the exclusive car brand, Aston Martin.and whose 3D ventilation grill is directly inspired by the DBS gran turismo.
“These new desktop workstations have been meticulously designed with a customer-centric lens in order to meet business outcomes and deliver innovative new solutions that our customers can enjoy in the future as workloads become more complex,” said Rob Herman, vice president of Lenovo’s Workstation and Client Artificial Intelligence Business Unit.
We have worked closely with Intel, NVIDIA and Aston Martin to ensure that these new systems offer the best in form factor and functionality, combining a chassis premium with ultra-high-end graphics, memory, and processing power.

The three ThinkStation models unveiled by Lenovo today they will begin their sale to the public in May 2023. However, the company has not commented on what its final price will be, so it is one of the few details of this new series of products that remain to be revealed.
What the ThinkStation PX, P7 and P5 offer
Regarding its internal components, all three Lenovo models feature a high-performance processor, Intel Xeon, and professional graphics from the NVIDIA RTX line, of which you can have up to three, depending on the model you buy. Likewise, the ThinkStation PX, P7 and P5 have PCI 5.0 ports, USB-C and Wi-Fi 6E. However, there is a small difference, and that is that the P7 and PX models of the ThinkStation support the new 10 Gigabit Ethernet standard, while the P5 is limited to Gigabit.

Regarding the scale of models, we have the ThinkStation PX at the top. It has two 4th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors inside that offer up to 120 cores, making it a real beast in any task. This has allowed Lenovo to increase its performance by up to 53% over the previous generation. On the other hand, it is compatible with up to four dual-slot GPUs, from the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation line, so power will not be lacking.
The ThinkStation PX supports up to 2TB of DDR5 RAM, which is a hell of a lot.
Lenovo ThinkStation P7
The Lenovo ThinkStation P7 model is next on the list. It incorporates a new architecture with the new Intel Xeon W processors, supporting up to 56 cores for a single socket. It is capable of supporting up to three NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation dual-slot GPUs. For its part, the P7 model reaches maximums of 1 TB of DDR5 RAM.
Lenovo ThinkStation P5
Finally, we have the Lenovo ThinkStation P5. Like the previous one, it has the latest Intel Xeon W processors, although this time they offer up to 24 cores. Supports up to two GPUs from the NVIDIA RTX A6000 line. Meanwhile, you can pack up to 512GB of DDR5 RAM.
