The LEGO Group today launches a new set: the Motorized Lighthouse from LEGO® Ideas, whose design is inspired by fans who love the sea. With a height of 50 cm it is a decorative element for bring light to any corner. Packed with detail, the 2,065-piece set is authentically designed to mirror the workings of a real lighthouse. It’s set on its own island, with a staircase leading to the lighthouse keeper’s hut, plus two minifigures and their boat that add detail to this set.

The motorized lighthouse from LEGO Ideas is based on an idea shared by Sandro Quattrini, a 20-year-old Canadian fan of LEGO. Sandro submitted his original concept on the LEGO Ideas platform, where he reached 10,000 votes from other LEGO fans. The LEGO Group then commissioned the concept to make it a reality. Sandro, who is currently studying animation, was inspired by a childhood trip of his to design the lighthouse.
Speaking about the design and why it was selected, LEGO’s vice president of global marketing, Federico Begher, explained that Sandro’s design really evokes the lonely air that lighthouses haves and the motorized light adds a beautiful dimension to the ensemble. This set will be available from September 1, 2022 through LEGO Stores and at a recommended retail price of €299.99.
