Reports are mounting that the Italian firm has prepared a radical new limited edition to launch during the Monterey Car Week events. According to some rumors, it is a new limited edition based on the Lamborghini FKP 37 Sián destined to pay tribute to the Lamborghini Countach.
It is strange to speak of a new limited edition Lamborghini when it has just presented what is supposed to be the last pure V12 model in its history, the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae. At the time of its presentation, those responsible for the brand assured that this would be the last traditional V12 model they are going to launch, which inevitably means that all the news to come will have some kind of electrification.
So if the reports that Lamborghini has something very special prepared for the upcoming Monterey Car Week events are true, the question is more than justified. What mechanics will this model have and what will its nature be?
Several reports agree that it is a limited edition in the style of the Lamborghini Centenario and Lamborghini Veneno, models that were nothing but upgraded and enhanced variants of the Lamborghini Aventador, from which they inherited the platform and its atmospheric V2 mechanics.
At this point the sources are very diverse, from anonymous company personnel to the brand’s own clients, since some say that they have already been offered the purchase of the model and that therefore they know its characteristics and release date.
Lamborghini Countach
Many of these reports assure that the new limited edition will be made on the mechanical basis of the Lamborghini FKP 37 Sián and therefore it is a hybrid model, fulfilling the promise the company made when it launched the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae. The new model will serve to pay tribute to the Lamborghini Countach, whose presentation has just turned 50 years, so the body will be specific to this new version and will have reminiscences of the sharpening dclassic sports car. Your presentation will take place during the event The Quail: A Motorsport Garhering.
