The new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is a reality and bursts onto the scene loaded with numerous novelties to the delight of the most staunch followers of the company.
The new Huracán Tecnica has been designed with the aim of offering maximum driving fun on and off the track. In the design and development process, the premise of finding a perfect balance point to enjoy this model on the road and on the track has been set. Let’s go into detail.
The design of the new Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica
In the design process of the new technical hurricane It has sought to capture its status as a track-oriented car from all angles, but without ever losing its essence as an iconic supercar. Aerodynamics has been decisive and, therefore, has influenced the creation of this new model. To the aerodynamic efficiency we must add the objective of keeping the weight contained. It is key to differentiate itself from the rest of the Huracán variants.
The front features a new bumper in the black Ypsilon design of the Terzo Millennio. In addition, and for the first time in a Hurricane, an air curtain is incorporated. It also debuts a front splitter with lower and more open slats to direct air through the wheels. The side view brings out the essence of this model and allows you to enjoy the new 20-inch Damiso wheels. They are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires.
It has the same height and width as the Huracán EVO. However, the new Huracán Tecnica is 6.1 centimeters longer. And ending our tour of the exterior at the rear, we must refer to the new vertical glass rear window that, according to the brand, offers greater visibility. The engine cover is made of carbon fiber. The rear bumper is also new and, as if that weren’t enough, a distinctive fixed rear spoiler has been fitted.
The interior of the new Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica
Leaving aside the outside, if we go into the interior of the new Huracán Tecnica we will quickly be enveloped by an atmosphere in which a sporty, luxurious and exclusive atmosphere is breathed. Personalization plays an important role in this model. And it is that Lamborghini remembers that the Ad Personam department offers practically unlimited possibilities to create a personal configuration.
Equip height-adjustable sports seats. The HMI interface has been redesigned for the Tecnica variant. The instrument panel loses colors to emphasize the legibility of the most useful information for driving. The center console display makes select connectivity features available to occupants, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The HMI includes connected telemetry. The UNICA application allows you to have a record of the tracks and the times achieved on them.
The V10 engine of the new Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica
Regarding the mechanical section, without a doubt we find another of the main keys of the new Huracán Tecnica. The powertrain proposed by Lamborghini is most interesting. The “heart” of this vehicle is a 5.2 liter V10 petrol engine which develops a power of 640 hp and 565 Nm of maximum torque. The power is sent to the rear axle through a automatic gearbox dual-clutch LDF with seven speeds.
The weight/power ratio is 2.15 kg/hp. The curb weight of the new Lamborghini model reaches 1,379 kg. To achieve this weight, the use of a hybrid aluminum and carbon fiber chassis. The LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) system is in charge of controlling all aspects of the car’s dynamic behaviour. In addition to having a rear-wheel drive configuration, a steered rear axle is incorporated. And if that wasn’t enough, the suspension features a specific setup.
Through a driving mode selector it is possible to choose between the Strada, Sport and Corsa profiles. Depending on the selected mode, the vehicle will adapt its response and dynamic behaviour. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The sprint from 0 to 200 km/h is completed in 9.1 seconds and the top speed is 325 km/h respectively.
