In September of last year, a leak was made to the Nvidia GeForce Now service, which presented a list of unannounced video games that would be in development at this time. Although Nvidia had said that some games were speculative, the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4 gives more truth to the information.

Among the games that Nvidia’s list mentioned that had not yet been confirmed were Human Fall Flat 2, Bioshock 2022, Bayonetta 3 for PC and Crysis 4, which has already been officially announced. The Square Enix games that made the list were Kingdom Hearts 4, Chrono Cross Remaster, FF7R for PC and Final Fantasy 9 Remake.

Related: Kingdom Hearts 4 will be developed with Unreal Engine 5, but the teaser was made with UE4.

Final Fantasy VII Remake arrived on PC in December of last year, when Square Enix published it on the Epic Games Store, while the Chrono Cross remaster arrived this week after being announced a couple of months ago. With the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4, the only Square Enix game we saw in the Nvidia leak that remains to be announced is Final Fantasy 9 Remake.

Square Enix had already confirmed that it wants to make more remakes of classic Super Nintendo games with the graphic style of Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy, but they have not talked about Remakes of Final Fantasy games in addition to those of FFVII, which would show its second part this anus.

Although the Nvidia leak looks more and more real, we will have to wait for an official confirmation from Square Enix to confirm the existence of Final Fantasy 9 Remake, as well as the platforms it would reach.
