Currently, Warner Bros. Discovery faces many problems. And one of them, possibly the one that makes the most noise on social networks, is the zack snyder fan group. It all started when the studio trashed the director’s version of League of Justice. Although Snyder had the opportunity to premiere his famous Snyder Cut (Zack Snyder’s Justice League) in 2021, the filmmaker’s fans have not stopped harassing the studio, its executives and even the actors of other DCEU movies. Its objective? Getting Warner to restore the famous SnyderVerse and that Snyder take the reins of that failed cinematographic universe again.
Is now Jay Oliveartist of storyboard, who has given his opinion about the fans. olive was Snyder’s collaborator in some films and was among the first to speak out in favor of the director when critics and fans trashed the 2017 film. However, that did not blind him, and he recognized that the director’s followers are not always polite or respectful.
Faced with a series of questions on Twitter regarding the Zack Snyder’s future in the DCEUthis answered Oliva (via).
“The movie was released and Zack was exonerated. Who cares what happens next? If there’s one thing to learn, it’s that the news will swing back and forth depending on what’s newsworthy. Also, we should not take it personally. The one who should be Zack, and he can defend himself.”
The toxicity of Zack Snyder fans has been a topic of discussion on social networks. Warner recently accused Snyder of turning his fans against the studio. He even hinted that many of them are accounts of bot whose sole purpose is to disrupt networks and cause fights between users that discredit Warner. It was also claimed that said bots were the reason why Zack Snyder’s Justice League got a special mention in the past Oscar awards over tapes like Avengers: Endgame Y Spider-Man: No Way Home.
“They’re not going to get it (Snyder back in the DCEU) if all they know about us is toxicity. It’s a business world, we show them that we are not bot when we crashed the (HBO Max) servers when they launched the SnyderCut. We bought every last piece when it came out physically and digitally. This is how we show that there is an interest in continuing the SnyderVerse. We should engage in a positive discourse to promote the movement and the prevention of suicide”, added Oliva.
The latter refers to the fact that Zack Snyder left the post production of League of Justice after the suicide of Autumn, his daughter. It was after that moment that Warner decided to hire Joss Whedon to finish the tape, and the results are known to all.
Do you think that at some point Zack Snyder can resume his working relationship with Warner or should the fans let the subject die?
John Joseph Cruz I am one of those who always defended Robert Pattinson as Batman and can see the same movie in the cinema up to 7 times. My guilty pleasure? Low budget horror movies.
