Elon Musk told during a podcast with Joe Rogan that he is a fan of junk food, not only because of its flavor, but also because it took less time to work.
Musk’s favorite dishes have long been junk food, Diet Coke and barbecue. He did some exercise to try to keep fit, but if it were up to him, he didn’t exercise at all.
“The older I get,” the tycoon told Rogan in 2020, “the harder it is for me to stay slim. That is sure”.
Musk acknowledged that in his university years he only spent a Canadian dollar a day eating hot dogs, peppers, oranges and pasta.
Later, in an interview with Business Insider, He clarified: “I would not encourage anyone to live on a dollar for a day. That wouldn’t be much fun. Also, I made this in the 90’s so a dollar was worth a lot more back then. It would be much more difficult to do that today.”
Tasty food, but a shorter life for Elon Musk
His love for junk food increased over time. “The food is great. I prefer to eat tasty food and live a shorter life, “he told Rogan.
In a Twitter post, he defended one drink in particular: “Diet Coke is amazing, especially the soda fountain version in theaters with salted and buttered popcorn. I don’t even care if it reduces my life expectancy.”

He also mentioned that roasts and French cuisine are other of his favorite foods.
And this is curious, because his mother, Maye Musk, is a world-famous dietitian.
But the South African knows that eating like this affects his health. “Being overweight is a big problem,” he noted.
The overweight problem in the head of Tesla and SpaceX
Recently, his father Errol publicly criticized him after seeing some pictures of Elon’s vacation in Greece, on a yacht The boss of SpaceX and Tesla, among other companies, looked very out of shape for his previous physical state.
Errol even recommended that she take a weight loss pill called Garcinia Cambogia.
Elon opted to change the way he ate and do some more exercise. The most recent information does not say that she has stopped enjoying junk food, but he does now opt for intermittent fasting and increasing the amount of physical work.
Since then he has lost nine kilos of weight. She did not give many details about her routine, although she did say that I was doing more cardio (he has a treadmill and watches a bit of TV while using it) and lifting some weights.
Having just turned 50, will Musk opt for a healthier lifestyle in terms of eating and exercise, or will he continue to enjoy good food?
