Jennifer Aniston defended on Friday your decision to cut ties with your friends and acquaintances who do not want to be vaccinated against COVID-19, after questions that arose on social media about his decision.
The star of “Friends” and “The Morning Show” said in an interview with the magazine InStyle published this week that there was still a “large group of people who are anti-vaccines or just don’t listen to the facts.”
He added that, unfortunately, he had “lost some people” from his inner circle who did not want to say whether they had been vaccinated or not.
But the actress was questioned by some Instagram users, including Robyn Law, author of the book to lose weight The Body Plan asking why she was concerned about being around unvaccinated people when she was.
Aniston responded on her own account: “Because if you have the Delta variant, you can still give it to me. I might just get a little sick; They won’t have to put me in a hospital and I won’t die. BUT I CAN give it to another person who does not have the vaccine and whose health is compromised (or with an existing previous condition) and, therefore, would put their lives at risk “the actress wrote.
“THAT is what I care about. We have to worry about something other than ourselves“added.
In the magazine interview InStyle, Aniston had said that she feels that the strip of Americans who do not want to be inoculated against the coronavirus are basing their position on “fear or propaganda ”.
The protagonist of the AppleTV + series “The Morning Show”, in which she plays a news anchor, explained that she spent much of the pandemic keeping up with the news, but that at one point had to take a break.
“I really had to stop having the television on all the time,” the actress said of the compulsive behavior she had during social isolation. “We all went through news fatigue, panic fatigue, during the pandemic because we were hoping that one day we would wake up and hear something hopeful, and all we got was more insanity.”.
“I feel that it is your moral and professional obligation to report, since not all of us are being tested every day. It is complicated because everyone has the right to have their own opinion, but many opinions are based on nothing more than fear or propaganda, “he added.
Aniston received her second dose of the vaccine in May and shared the news on Instagram with her millions of followers around the world. “Fully vaccinated and feels so good,” she wrote in her post. “We are extremely fortunate and privileged to have access to COVID-10 vaccines in the United States at this time.”
“Unfortunately, that is not the case everywhere … and as we know, the health of one of us affects all of us,” he continued. “Thinking of those who do not have or will not have the opportunity to get vaccinated and hug their friends and family ”.
Aniston, who has 37.7 million followers on Instagram, rose to fame as Rachel Green on the American television comedy “Friends” that aired between 1994 and 2004.
