Although he does not refer to it by name, when McCurdy talks about The Creator, he refers to Dan Schneider, who was responsible for creating series like iCarly, Sam and Cat, Drake and Josh, Zoey 101 and many more. However, Nickelodeon severed its relationship with this producer in 2018, this after Schneider was accused of abuse. Although at the end of the day it was not possible to prove any sexual assault, he was singled out for his violent behavior on the set of recordings.
