Nowadays, consumers have begun to prioritize aspects such as customer service and the shopping experience, this has been greatly encouraged by social networks, which have allowed themselves to exert ever stronger pressure within decision making. of companies and even governments, which is why they have now become more demanding, in terms of the immediacy of processes, valuing aspects such as immediate delivery and delivery services.

At present, delivery services can be conceived as those offered by companies to make home deliveries of the products that customers buy online or by telephone, a service that can be named as deliveries are known as last mile.

Currently, the last-mile delivery industry has yielded significantly, this mainly within food delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, Rappi or DiDi, so much so that data provided by the firms indicates that the food service market , or food delivery, in Latin America, amounted to 16,261 million dollars this by the end of 2021, which shows an increase of at least 12.8 percent, compared to the previous year, which represented an amount of 14,178 million dollars, according to data from Euromonitor International.

However, it is now that this sector has sought more efficient ways to carry out this type of service, through technological innovations such as those recently indicated by the Japanese country, which has announced that it will be in April, when the law of transit that authorizes the circulation of autonomous driving delivery robots through the streets of Japan, this being the first commitment to autonomous customer service devices in last-mile deliveries.

An aspect that has been able to promote the robotic firm ZMP, which will begin to develop delivery devices in Tokyo, with the aim of making life easier for many companies that suffer from a lack of labor, which will have support and management from people who can intervene if necessary.

It was thanks to the global health crisis and social distancing, which aspects such as eCommerce, streaming entertainment platforms and delivery service, were cemented within the new digital normality.
